Vir Das and Soha Ali Khan casted in a political thriller titled ‘31st October’ set to release in cinemas on October 7th 2016 after months of battling with the censor board.
‘31st October’ is directed by the award winning filmmaker, Shivaji Lotan Patil, he has created a film depicting true events of a Sikh family and their struggle for survival against all obstacles and odds during the anti-Sikh riots in Delhi. These riots escalated following the shooting of the Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who was shot by her Sikh bodyguards.
The film is set to be a dark, gripping, edge of the seat political thriller, with efforts of showcasing incidents that will leave a heavy effect on the viewers and their mind-set towards the actions that transpired during these true events. From the trailer what seems to be enticing more attention is the creative aspects and story writing giving a well-crafted production, the trailer sure does lure the attention right in.
Writer-producer Harry Sachdeva and co-producer Anand Prakash said, “We are proud to bring this subject on the big screen and we are glad that after crossing all hurdles, our film 31st October will be released worldwide on 7th October, 2016.”
On his part, director Shivaji Lotan Patil said, “It was a great opportunity for me to direct this subject. It’s the first film ever on the aftermath of Indira Gandhi’s assassination and it’s a film for the world audience.”
‘31st October’ is scheduled for world wide release on October 7, 2016 by Panorama Studios.
