Tubelight – Radio Song
The hook, the melody and above all superstar Salman Khan have all lead to the first single Radio from Tubelight to becoming the most loved song world over. Touted to be the most anticipated song of 2017, #Radio saw a Dubai launch by actor par excellence Salman Khan, director Kabir Khan and Sony Music President Shridhar Subramaniam amidst much fanfare. Within 24 hours the song is not only dominating Indian airwaves but is also topping charts in other countries world over by being No. 1 trending on YouTube. The song has already clocked over 10million views in the first 24 hours of its launch.
Director Kabir Khan said, “I knew people in India would love the song but seeing the same response in other countries like Germany, Australia just makes it phenomenal. Bus Antarctica mein pahuchna hai.”
“This was our strategy, to have the song live across 100+ platforms so that globally we block fans mind space that has also led to this global trend,” said Sanujeet Bhujabal, Marketing Director, Sony Music India.
Sony Music, global music giant, acquired the music rights of Tubelight, their first acquisition with Salman Khan Films. Music for the film is composed by Pritam, who is known for creating magic with every film he works on.
Tubelight is an entertaining family drama set in 1962 and tells the story of one man’s unshakeable belief in himself and the love for his family. Produced by Salma Khan and Salman Khan, Tubelight is slated to release in cinemas on 23rd June 2017 for Eid ul-Fitr.
