Pakistani cricket legend Wasim Akram confirms engagement to Shaniera Thompson

I feel lucky that I have got a second chance in life… She is close to my kids, who are also excited, and my in-laws [Huma’s parents] also endorsed the decision after meeting her.” ” – WasimAkram.
Wasim’s first wife Huma died of kidney failure in 2009. The couple have two kids Taimur and Akbar.
The buzz is that Shaniera, a former public relations consultant, will move to Pakistan to be with Wasim.
Widely considered one of the top left-arm bowlers in the world in his playing days, Akram was part of the World Cup winning Pakistani cricket team in 1992. He also captained Pakistani to a runners-up place in the 1999 World Cup.
He was also in the news for an alleged relationship with Sushmita Sen and there was speculation at one point that he would marry the Indian actress, Pakistani model-turned-actress Humaima Malik which he denies on ever account.
