This Diwali, Absolute Bollywood Live celebrates 50 Years of Bollywood with a live show starring Ash King & Jonita Gandhi! This concert will be showcasing the best in Bollywood music & dance from the last 50 years with their first ever collaborative performance in the UK alongside the Absolute Bollywood Dancers. These phenomenal Bollywood singers and dancers will be recreating iconic and memorable songs from some of Bollywood’s most well-known films. Come and be delighted by the splendour of one of the largest and most glamorous film industries in the world!
Ash King, our sensational Bollywood singer is best known for being the voice of a range of popular Bollywood songs including the number 1 hit Meherbaan from Bang Bang, Te amo from Dum Maro Dum, Aunty ji from Ek Main Aur Ek Tu, I love you from Bodyguard and Dil gira dafatan from Delhi 6. Moreover, he has worked with Lady Gaga on her song Just Dance. He was the first singer to create a mix of Hindi, English and Arabic music and make it a global success.
Ash won “best male playback singer” Stardust award for Te Amo in 2012. He was also nominated for IIFA 2012 for his song I love you.
The gorgeous Jonita Gandhi began her journey to success as a singer in her university years, winning various competitions including Sonu Nigam’s contest for English-language tribute to Michael Jackson, and winning the competition to open for Kailash Kher’s concert in Toronto to name a few.
Jonita’s versatility as a singer spans various genres including Sufi, Bollywood, Western Classical, RnB, Pop and Soft Rock just to name a few. She sings in Hindi, English, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, German, Italian, and French for live and recorded performances.
Jonita has appeared in several prestigious performances in addition to performing as the lead female singer with Sonu Nigam across India. She has gained recognition from music producers in Bollywood playback, including Vishal Dadlani, which led to her debut in the title track of Chennai Express.
Absolute Bollywood Dance Company, founded by Jennie Jethwani, brings the best of Bollywood dance to London, providing world class Bollywood dance, entertainment and training. The internationally acclaimed dance group based in London has performed at events at Cannes Film Festival, Summer Surprises in Dubai, Indian Festival in Egypt, Paris, Germany & Mumbai in the last two years.
